Role Overview:
This role involves delivering personalized care and household support to service users based on individual care plans. Support workers play a vital role in ensuring service users' dignity, privacy,
and independence while assisting with daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Personal & Practical Care :
- → Provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals with various illnesses and disabilities.
- → Support service users with daily routines, including dressing, washing, bathing, and using the toilet.
- → Assist with mobility challenges, physical disabilities, and the use of aids or personal equipment.
- → Offer sensitive care to individuals receiving end-of-life support.
Wellbeing & Engagement :
- → Encourage mental and physical activity by engaging in conversation, outings, and hobbies.
- → Participate in recreation activities to promote emotional well-being.
Household Assistance :
- → Perform light cleaning tasks, including making beds, tidying rooms, and managing laundry.
- → Prepare and serve meals, assisting with feeding when necessary.
- → Ensure safe and hygienic handling of personal and household items.
Administrative Responsibilities :
- → Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records, including daily logs and medication forms.
- → Document visits thoroughly, including tasks performed, observations, and any relevant changes.
- → Handle service users’ financial transactions responsibly, adhering to company guidelines.
Health & Safety Compliance :
- → Adhere to health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures.
- → Report and record any incidents or accidents immediately, no matter how minor.
- → Communicate any concerns regarding service users' health or behavior to management promptly.
Professional Conduct & Development :
- → Participate in regular training sessions to enhance care skills and service quality.
